Our strength lies in combining local presence, recognised technical expertise and an international network, to devise sustainable and innovative solutions in response to climate, societal and technological challenges.

Joining WSP means becoming part of an ambitious, collaborative company focused on the future, where every talent can contribute, learn, grow and make a difference.

Your mission: contribute to projects that matter

As part of the development of our business, we are looking for a Project Manager - Geomatics, based in Lyon, to support our projects and contribute to achievements that sustainably transform regions.

You will join the Information Management group within the Environment Business Line and work on complex, large-scale multidisciplinary projects, notably in the fields of mobility, energy transition, major structures and the environment.

You will help make geographic information and data governance genuine decision-support tools for our clients and our engineers.

Your responsibilities

· Define and optimise the governance and architecture of geospatial data, ensuring interoperability of systems as well as the quality, traceability and security of large volumes of data on large-scale projects.

· Manage complex GIS and geomatics projects, from needs analysis and costing through to planning and financial and contractual monitoring.

· Lead and develop a team of geomaticians, while coordinating the resources deployed on the various projects.

· Develop and integrate innovative solutions, notably through optimising deliverables, automating workflows, GIS web platforms and integrating artificial intelligence into processes.

· Advise internal and external clients in order to add value to data and provide answers suited to their operational and decision-making challenges.

· Contribute to business development by identifying new opportunities and taking part in strengthening WSP's offers and expertise.

Your future team: You will join a multidisciplinary, expert team, where knowledge sharing, collaboration and professional development are part of everyday life.

Our culture: we value transparency, trust and mutual support to create an environment where everyone can speak up, contribute and see their ideas valued.

The Visioneer you are: every career path is unique

At WSP, we look for curious talents, committed and motivated by meaningful projects. Whatever your level of experience, you will find a stimulating environment here to develop your skills, share your ideas and build a career path that suits you.

This role is made for you if you recognise yourself in the following criteria:

· You hold an engineering degree or a Master 2 (Bac+5) in geomatics.

· You have 10 to 15 years of experience in managing complex GIS or geomatics projects, ideally gained in engineering consultancies, engineering firms or the major infrastructure sector.

· You master the Esri/ArcGIS Enterprise suite, PostgreSQL/PostGIS spatial databases and interoperability concepts, notably FME.

· You have programming skills, notably in Python, R or advanced SQL queries, and you are interested in uses of artificial intelligence applied to geomatics processes.

· You combine leadership, strong management skills, contractual and financial fluency, and excellent written and oral communication.

· Given the international dimension of WSP, you have professional-level English.

What this role will bring you: This opportunity will allow you to apply your geomatics expertise to complex multidisciplinary projects, strengthen your role as a technical and managerial reference, and directly contribute to developing innovative solutions with a strong environmental and societal impact.

You want to put your leadership at the service of teams, clients and business development.
